Hi, my name is Avery Everett. I’m a journalist based in San Antonio, Texas. I’m originally from a suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

I currently report for the 10 p.m. newscast at KSAT 12 News, the ABC affiliate serving South Central Texas. As a multimedia journalist and reporter, I cover a wide range of stories Monday through Friday, from daily enterprise stories to longform reporting.

Before joining KSAT, I worked at KOMU 8 News in mid-Missouri, where I served as a reporter, anchor and producer.

I see my role in journalism as a service to the community, which is why I’ve built my career in local news. I approach every pitch by asking whether it meaningfully serves the audience, respecting their time, answering their questions and meeting them where they actually consume news. That mindset guides my breaking news and enterprise reporting, grounded in authenticity, urgency and clear storytelling.
