PORTFOLIO

REPORTER/ MMJ EXPERIENCE

I’m a dedicated storyteller with six years of experience in broadcast journalism. Based in San Antonio, I report for the 10 p.m. newscast Monday through Friday. I usually work with a photographer, though I’m fully trained as a multimedia journalist. My work spans the full reporting process—from pitching and shooting to editing and presenting stories on-air. I specialize in solutions-oriented journalism, with a focus on elevating real voices and addressing complex community issues. My reporting ranges from feature stories, like a local man gaining national attention for his anti-bullying TikTok platform, to in-depth investigations, like a three-month series examining the effectiveness of San Antonio’s 911 mental health response team.

This is my most up-to-date reel as of June 2025. It features a minute-long montage of liveshots and standups, an MMJ dayturn, a reporter dayturn and a reporter longform story.

STANDUP REEL

Standups are a powerful tool to engage viewers and bring them directly into the story. I work to make each one impactful, concise, creative, and visually compelling. Below are a few of my favorite standups from 2025.

SOCIAL MEDIA REEL

As a journalist with a digital-first mindset, I actively engage audiences across platforms in real time. While in the field, I share updates across platforms. Below are examples of my video content tailored for social media.

OTHER EXPERIENCES

My journalism career started in high school. In college, I was a part-time reporter for KOMU 8 News in Columbia, Missouri. I was an MMJ and the weekend morning anchor there from 2019 to 2023. To see an example of me anchoring, click here.
